Infinix Note 8i launched in Nepal with Helio G80 and 5200 mAh Battery
It was not ago when Samsung and Xiaomi dominated the mid-range market in Nepal. Now, OEMs like Motorola and Infinix are giving tough competition with their mid-range devices. It was not ago that Infinix entered in Nepali market with Note 7 and Hot 9 Play devices. Infinix Note 8i has been launched in Nepal as a Daraz exclusive from today, 28th January. Let’s see the specifications and Infinix Note 8i price in Nepal and where it stands with the competition.
Infinix Note 8i has a polycarbonate body with a Gem cut finish at the back. While at the front, we get, 6.78-inch HD+ Display with a punch-hole display at the top left corner. The display has Gorilla Glass protection. On the right side, we get volume rockers and a Power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint scanner. The headphone jack, Type-C port, and speaker are placed at the bottom. Even after housing a 5200mAh battery, the device is thin at 8.9mm.
Infinix Note 8i houses a quad-camera setup at the rear and an 8MP front shooter. Inside the rectangular camera hump, we get a 48MP 1/2.0″ primary shooter with PDAF. Along with that, we have a 2MP macro shooter and a 2MP depth sensor. The last one is a QVGA sensor for AI features. This device also has a new and improved Night-mode which is nice to have in the device at this price point.
Earlier, we have reviewed Infinix Note 7 with a 48MP lens, and it really impressed us at the price it was offered. So we expect the same with this one. The Infinix camera app is full of features. While at the front, we have an 8MP shooter and a dual-LED flash. The camera looks promising at this price, and stay tuned for the full review to know our words on these cameras.
Under the hood, Infinix Note 8i is powered by MediaTek’s Helio G80 SoC. This is a promising chip, and we have already seen this chip perform in the devices the Redmi 9 and POCO M2. This is Octa-core SoC with 2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 cores. While for GPU, we have Mali-G52 MC2. This, along with 6GB RAM, Infinix Note 8i can easily handle day-to-day tasks; not only that, this device can easily handle games, too, under medium and low settings. Infinix Note 8i can be a good choice for someone who wants a decent gaming device currently at a price tag under 22K in Nepal.
Battery & Software
Inside, all this is powered by a 5200 mAh battery and 18W fast charging via the Type-C port. As the device has an HD+ panel and not so power-hungry SoC, we can expect some good battery life. Talking about the software, we have XOS7.0 on top of Android 10. XOS is Infinix’s own custom UI with lots of customization and features.
