Build and Design
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro features an in-ear design with a soft silicone tip. The case of the Buds Pro is similar to the Buds Live and also supports wireless charging. While at the back of the case, we get a Type-C port for charging. Talking about the Buds, they are IPX7 certified for water resistance, which is better than the IPX4 certified Apple’s Air Pods Pro. The Galaxy Buds Pro weighs around 6.3gm while the case goes up to 44.9g with its 472mAh battery inside. Galaxy Buds Pro supports touch controls and various gestures to trigger different modes and features.
Ambient Sound and ANC
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro supports Active Noise Cancelation (ANC) and also Ambient sound. According to Samsung, these Buds can filter 99% of background noise. The three different mics detect and filter the background noise in real-time. At the same time, the adjustable ambient sound algorithm can increase on decrease the volume of the environment, depending on what you are doing. So, no need to remove the buds while using them and talking with someone because the buds let you boost nearby voices up to +20 decibels if you wish to hear what people around you are saying loud and clear while wearing the Buds Pro.
Speaker and Micro Phone
With the Galaxy Buds Pro, we get 2 way sound system as it includes an 11mm woofer and 6.5mm tweeter. Samsung promises a dynamic and balanced sound, with deeper bass and crisp treble. There are 3 different mics to catch your voice and filter the noise, as I already told you. Also, we get a Mic mesh and chamber to reduce the wind noise while taking calls or recording audio via the buds.
Connectivity and Battery
Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro supports Bluetooth 5.0 for fast pairing and low latency. Talking about the Bluetooth profile, it comes with HFP, A2DP, and AVRCP. If you use these Buds with Galaxy devices, you are treated with some exclusive features, and for that, Samsung has its own proprietary codec, known as Scalable. Other than that, you get support for AAC and SBC.
Each bud has a 64mAh battery, and along with the case, the Buds Pro can provide playback for 18h with ANC turned on and till 28 with ANC turned off. While for Talktime, Samsung is claiming 14.5h with ANC turned ON and 17.5, without ANC. And with 3 min of charging, you can get 30min playback time.
