Xiaomi announced Redmi K30S with 144Hz display & Snapdragon 865 SoC
Xiaomi announced Redmi K30S which is going to be the last smartphone to lineup the K30 series where Redmi K30 4G, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Zoom edition, Redmi K30 Ultra, and Redmi K30i are already launched under the K30 series. Redmi K30S is the most affordable smartphone in China to come with Snapdragon 865 platform. It can be called the rebranded version of Xiaomi’s Mi 10T as it shares specs like Snapdragon 865, 64MP camera, and 144Hz display.
Specs of Redmi K30S:
Redmi K30S has a dimension of 165.1×76.4×9.3 weighing 216g. It is guarded by Gorilla Glass 5 in front as well as back. The LCD display of the device measures 6.67 inches and supports FHD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 20:9.
The peak brightness of the device is 650nits and the display refresh rate is 144Hz. It has AI face recognition and a side-facing fingerprint reader for security.
It is fueled by Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM. The internal storage UFS 3.1 comes in two configurations: 128GB and 256GB. Android 10 runs on the device that is skinned with MIUI 12 on the top.
The rear sided camera is a triple camera that comes with a primary camera of 64MP IMX 682 f/1.89. It is accompanied by 13MP ultra-wide lens having a 123-degree wide view and a 5MP macro lens. It can take videos up to 8K. The front-facing camera is a 16MP lens that is used for selfies.
It has a battery capacity of 5000mAh that comes with fast charging support of 33W. Other than that, it lacks a 3.5mm audio jack and a slot for external storage. It has connectivity features like Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, 5G, and USB port C.
