A few weeks ago popular leakster ICE UNIVERSE revealed the specification for the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra camera which uncovers that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be getting fewer changes in the hardware of the camera in comparison to the current flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Moreover, another popular leakster Yogesh Brar also revealed key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra which included camera, chipset, and battery details. Whereas the same popular leakster ICE UNIVERSE has leaked the rendered image along with the display specification of the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra Overview
Display
As per the rendered image of Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra from ICE UNIVERSE which has officially been confirmed by the supply chain. We can now say the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be finally moving on from a curved display to a flatter display according to the leaks. Moving on to specification the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is leaked to get a 6.78-inch screen with a 3120×1440 pixels resolution and 2500nits of peak brightness.
Coming to dimensions the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will also be getting a more flatter frame compared to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Likewise, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be slightly wider at 79mm while the S23 Ultra has a width of 78.1mm.
Cameras
A new leak for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra surfaces online hinting the upcoming flagship device to get a 50MP telephoto which uses 1/2.52 inches sensor that is capable of 5x Zoom. Instead of 10MP Sony IMX754 telephoto lens on S23 Ultra which uses 1/3.52 inches sensor that can get 3x optical zoom.
Talking about other leaked specifications of the camera for Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a 200MP Samsung HP2 primary camera along with a 12MP Sony IMX564 ultra-wide lens whereas the telephoto lens is expected to be replaced by a 50MP camera with 5x optical zoom.
Therefore according to the leaks, we can expect Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to be featuring the same hardware as the current flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with few upgrades to the hardware. This time Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to primarily focus on software and processing capabilities for its new 200MP sensor, periscope lens, and another sensor as well.
Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will feature LED flash and a laser autofocus unit at the rear as same as the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. While there’s no information on the specification of the selfie camera it is expected to likely retain the same 12MP sensor at the front.
Whereas there’s no rumor online for other S24 series S24 and S24 Plus, therefore, we won’t be able to say if these devices will get hardware upgrades in terms of camera. But Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely get the same hardware as the S23 Ultra as it features a new 200MP sensor.
Chipset
Coming to chipset Samsung had partnered with Qualcomm to offer a customized chipset for Galaxy’s flagship devices with an overclocked version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset on Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23 Plus, and S23. Therefore the Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra and its S24 series are expected to feature an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for the Galaxy.
In addition, there’s a rumor again that Samsung may release an Exynos variant chipset Exynos 2400 in the European market and Snapdragon for Asia and North America. After Samsung decided to ship Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with only a Snapdragon’s custom chipset.
Battery and Charging
The leaks also mentioned that Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be packing a 5000mAh battery paired with 45W charging which is the same as its upcoming predecessor S23 Ultra. But a few other leaks hit the S24 Ultra could be using electric vehicle battery technology therefore the fast charging speed could increase to 65W.
