Honor has launched its new entry-level 5G phone in China – the Honor Play 30. It comes with Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset and has a similar camera module to the iPhone 13. If you remember, Gionne 13 Pro was also launched a couple of months back with the same-looking design. Design and Display
As I mentioned earlier, the Honor Play 30 sports a similar camera layout to the iPhone 13. However, it lacks a secondary camera but the placement of the LED flash makes it looks like Apple’s flagship. It has a shining back panel made up of plastic. Moreover, you can choose between four color options: Blue, Gold, Black, and White.
Upfront, the handset gets a 6.5-inch TFT LCD display. It has an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and has Aluminosilicate glass protection. Furthermore, it features a waterdrop notch for housing a selfie camera.
Camera and Performance
Moving on, the device has a 13MP single rear-facing camera. It has an f/1.8 aperture and Auto Focus (AF). Likewise, it has a 5MP selfie camera enclosed inside the notch. Talking about video recording, you can record up to 1080p videos at 30 frames per second from both cameras.
Under the hood, Honor Play 30 packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+ 5G chipset. It is paired with either 4GB or 8GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. You can also expand the storage via a MicroSD card but it uses a shared slot with a SIM slot.

Fueling the phone is a 5000mAh battery that charges at 10W speed via USB Type-C 2.0 port. On the software front, it boots on Android 11 out of the box with Magic UI 5.1 on top. Furthermore, it supports 5G, 4G LTE, (2.4/5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and FM Radio.
