In the first quarter of 2021, Apple secured 31.7% of market share globally, when it comes to tablets and the entry-level iPad is one of the main reasons for that. In their September event, Apple just announced the new entry-level iPad with an upgraded Processer, new camera setup, and several other changes. Design and Display
From the outside we still have the tried and tested design with a home button, making it the only latest iPad from Apple with the home button. We have a single camera on the back with an Apple logo in the middle. While at the front we upgraded the 12MP face time camera. But the main design upgrade is on the display front. This time we get a laminated display with the entry-level iPad, which will make using the Apple Pen much more intuitive. The 10.2-inch display is the IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2160×1620-pixel and 264 PPI. We get True tone tech too on the entry-level iPad this time and the display has a max brightness of 500 nits. We get a stereo speaker setup and a lightning port for charging.
The iPad 10.2 gets an upgrade with the Apple 13 Bionic SoC and it brings that brings a 20-percent speed bump over the A12 in the eighth-gen model. This is a 7nm Hexa-core CPU with 2×2.65 GHz Lightning + 4×1.8 GHz Thunder cores and a 4 core Apple GPU. This SoC was announced with the iPhone 11 and is still very powerful for most of the tasks.
For the price of $329, iPad 10.2 is still more powerful than tablets and Chromebook at this price point. This time, the base model starts with 64GB internal storage and thanks to Apple for ditching the 32GB model this time.

This time, iPad 10.2 gets an upgraded 12MP f/2.4 Ultra-Wide camera with 122° field of view, which also supports the center stage feature. This camera can shoot HDR-enabled photos and can record 1080P videos upto 60fps. While at the rear we have a similar 8MP f/2.4 single shooter, which can record 1080P videos upto 30fps and will be enough for scanning documents.
iPad 10.2 features 32.4‐watt-hour which can deliver up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi‐Fi or watching videos. The iPad can be charged via the lightning port at the bottom. It runs on iPad OS 15. You don’t get many color choices here as it is available only in Silver and Space Gray. For connectivity, you get either Cellular or Wifi only variant with Dual-band Wifi support and Bluetooth 4.2.
