Redmi Note 10 Pro (Global) vs. Realme 8– Overview

Design and Display

While comparing both smartphones, Redmi Note 10 Pro and Realme 8, the Redmi Note 10 Pro has a much premium feel and look with its gorilla glass 5 in the front glass and glass back with its logo on the bottom.

However, Realme 8, on the other hand, looks decent enough with its plastic back Realme 8. Moving towards the display quality, Redmi takes the meridian with its 120Hz AMOLED display panel in front of the super AMOLED display with 90Hz on the realme8. Also, the 1200 nits brightness of the Redmi Note 10 Pro screen sparkles more than the Realme 8.

 We can get a touch sampling rate of 180Hz in Realme, whereas we get a touch sampling rate of 240Hz in Redmi note 10 Pro. Moreover, Redmi Note 10 Pro, with its IP53 feature, is dust and splash-resistant.

Camera and Software

Among the hundreds and thousands of smartphones, some focus on gaming, whereas some focus on photography.

Talking about the camera, both smartphones feature a quad-camera setup at the rear. As for Realme 8, we get a 48MP f/1.79 along with 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera, and the last two are 2MP for each macro and depth sensor. While at the front, you get a 16MP f/2.2 shooter. 

Similarly, The Redmi Note 10 Pro is the mid-range camera beast with its 108MP f/1.9 primary shooter, 8MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide lens, 5MP Tele-macro with AF, and the last one 2MP depth sensor, whereas the selfie shooter is a 16MP f/2.5 shooter. 

If you think you are good at photography, Redmi Note 10Pro seems a better camera phone. Otherwise, you can go for Realme 8.

 Moving on to the software, Redmi note 10 Pro runs on MIUI 12 on top of Android 11, whereas real me runs on Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

Performance and Battery 

This is where you will see the most difference between these two devices. Redmi Note 10 is a powerful beast with 700 series of Snapdragon SoC. As for the Realme 8, you get Mediatek Helio G95 along with Octa-core (2×2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. 

While on the Note 10 Pro has Snapdragon 732 with Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.2 storage. Both of the smartphones are good performers and can handle regular tasks and mid-tier gaming.

 Speaking about the batteries, you can get 5000mAh on the Realme 8, whereas you get 5020mAh on the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Though the Redmi Note 10 Pro battery seems bigger by 20mAh both, have similar battery life.

Moreover, both smartphones have fast charging capacity. Realme has a 30W fast charging feature whilst Redmi Note 10 Pro has a 33W fast charging with which the phone can be charged up to 59% in just 30 mins, as per the company claims.

Realme 8 starts at NRs. 23, 998 for 4GB+128GB variant and NRs. 38, 990for the 8GB+256GB variant, while you can get only one variant of the Redmi Note 10 Pro in Nepal, 6GB+128GB at NRs. 33, 999.
