Among all of them, Note Series is the most popular one. We got two different Devices in the Note series; Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

This year we can see quite differences among both the devices and along with a big gap in the price point too. Today lets check out what is the trade-off when you go for a cheaper Note. Here is a Specs comparison between Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra.

Display & Design

When the first note was released, its 5.3-inch display was considered to be too large but now we have reached 6.7 inches S.AMOLED FHD+ in Note 20 and 6.9 inches Dynamic Amoled QHD+ on the Note 20 Ultra. In the regular Note, you get a 60hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass 5 protection without curved edges. While on the Ultra, its a Dynamic Amoled display with 120Hz of Variable refresh rate. Talking about the protection here we get the latest Gorilla Glass Victus.

Now moving around the device, we get a Triple Camera setup at the back of both the devices, but the Note 20 Ultra has an extra Laser Auto Focus sensor.  At the top, we get the sim tray and mic for noise cancellation while at the bottom, the SPen, Speaker grills, TYPE C port, and mic on both the devices. The downside with Note 20 is that you get a device with a plastic back at $999 price tag. Both the devices have IP68 dust and waterproof ratings.

Performance & Software

Every year Note Series Devices are the most powerful smartphones Samsung can produce at that particular time. This time there’s no difference, hmmm if you get the Snapdragon variant. Like with other Samsung’s flagship devices, we are getting two processors on Galaxy Note 20 series, one with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ and the other with Exynos 990.

Both the devices use the Same SoC (either SD865+ or Exynos 990) so, you can expect the same performance here. Though when it gets to RAM, Note 20 has 8GB DDR5 RAM whereas Note 20 Ultra gives you 12GB DDR5 RAM. While both run on Samsungs One UI 2.5 on top of Android 10. So, there’s not much to compare between both when it comes to Performance and software.

Optics

The camera is where we see some differences between these two siblings. The Regular Note has a Triple Camera setup with 12M f/1.8 Primary shooter, 64MP f/2.0 3x telephoto lens, 12MP f/2.2 Ultra-Wide Camera. While at the front it has a 10MP f/2.2 selfie shooter.

Talking about the Note 10 Ultra, here too we get a different triple camera setup along with a Laser Auto Focus sensor. Here we have a 108MP f/1.8 Primary camera, 12MP f/3.0 5X Periscopic Lense, 12MP f/2.2 Ultra-wide, and a 10MP f/2.2 shooter at the front.

Neither on these are going to disappoint you with its camera. You can shoot 4k @ 60fps with both rear and front cameras on both the devices, 8K videos, Life Focus videos, Night Mode HDR, and much more.

Battery

Both of these devices have a large battery. With Regular Note 20, you get a 4300mAh battery with 25W Fast charge support and also support for wireless charging. You get all these in Note 20 Ultra to but with a larger 4500mAh battery.

Pricing

As of now, we don’t know the Nepali pricing of these devices, talking about Indian and US pricing, the regular Note 20 (8GB+256GB) will cost you ₹77,999 in India and $999 (8GB+128GB with 5G) in the US. The one sold in India is a 4G variant.  While for the Note 20 Ultra 5G (12GB+256GB)  the price starts at ₹1,04,999 in India and $1299 in the US.
