After weeks of teasers, Xiaomi has finally launched Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom in China. These flagship devices follow the trend of providing high specs at an affordable price range from the company.
The K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom are exactly similar in all aspects except the presence of the telephoto camera in one device. The devices come in a premium glass sandwich built with Dual Glass at the front and back with Gorilla Glass 5 protection and an aluminum frame for strength and lightness. Upfront the devices flaunt a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display at 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The display is rated HDR10+ capable, covers 100% of DCI-P3 color gamut and features an onscreen optical fingerprint sensor.
Both the devices are powered by the high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC CPU: Octa-core (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 585 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 585 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 585) and GPU: Adreno 650. The Redmi K30 comes in three variants 6GB RAM 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM 128/256GB 8GB RAM whereas the K30 Pro Zoom comes in two variants 8GB RAM 128/256GB storage. Both models run on a 4700 mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging.
Taking a look at the cameras, these devices feature a quad-camera setup at the back. The main sensor is a 64MP shooter with OIS and phase detection autofocus. There is a secondary 13MP ultrawide sensor for taking care of you needs to get more into your picture. The third sensor on K30 Pro is a 518MP macro sensor whereas the K30 Pro Zoom has an 8MP telephoto sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom and lastly there is a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a motorized 20MP selfie camera taking care of all your selfie needs. On paper, these devices stand there ground when we look at the cameras.
Speaking of connectivity, both devices come with support for 5G, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 with support for aptX, NFC, an IR sensor and a headphone jack. It is nice to see the headphone jack making its return when all other manufacturers are omitting it. The devices run on Android 10.0 with MIUI 11 custom skin on top of it which makes sure that you are patched with the latest security updates while enjoying the features of MIUI.
Pricing & Availability:
Looking at the pricing, the Redmi K30 Pro is priced at CNY 2999 (~NRs. 51800/-) for 6+128 GB variant, CNY 3399 (~NRs.58700/-) for 8+128GB variant and CNY 3699 (~NRs. 63900/-) for 8+256GB variant.
On the other hand, the Redmi K30 Pro Zoom is priced at CNY 3,799 (~NRs. 65600/-) for 8+128GB and CNY 3999 (~NRs. 69100/-) for 8+256GB variant. Both models are up for pre-order in China with official sales starting on April 4th.
