Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launched with Iris scanner, Gorilla Glass 5 with IP68 rating
Samsung has revealed the Galaxy Note 7 at the launch event held yesterday in New York City. Galaxy Note 7 comes with S Pen, Iris Scanner, Gorilla Glass 5 and among all of that, it is waterproof with an IP68 rating.
Samsung Note 7 is featured with 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution screen and curved dual-edge with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and the display of Note 7 is the first mobile display which supports HDR.
Galaxy Note 7 is the first Note series which is IP68 water resistance. The phone features the Iris Scanner and the Fingerprint sensor which has brought a whole new level of security in Note 7. Along with Iris Scanner and Fingerprint sensor, the phone also features an S Ball pen which brings the Pen like experience and is also water-resistant which means you can write underwater without any worries.
The camera in the Note 7 is the same as the S7. The phone comes with 12 MP rear camera with phase detection, autofocus, OIS, LED flash and 5MP front-facing camera.
Note 7 is among the powerful smartphones available in the market as it features Snapdragon 820 chipset or an Exynos 8890 chipset and also features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal memory which can be further expanded using a microSD card. Note 7 comes with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow).
Note 7 also comes with USB Type C and supports On The Go(OTG) and quick charging technology and wireless charging technology. The phone comes with a 3,500 mAh battery.
Note 7 carries the price tag of $849.99 in the US and the pre-order for Note 7 has been started from today. The availability of Galaxy Note 7 in Nepal has not been officially announced but looking in the past trends it will be most probably a week after the global launch of Note 7, which is on August 19.
