Samsung Galaxy S23 series leaks: Light mode to support battery life

There have been new rumors surfaced once again with the most awaited Galaxy S23 series including S23, S23+, and S23 ultra. Soon the Galaxy feature is rumored to feature in the Galaxy S23 series, to cut power while maintaining a moderate performance level. Let’s get into the detail of the upcoming Samsung S23 series leaks on light modes.

The light mode was introduced just recently for Samsung’s foldable earlier this year an alternative option besides the standard mode. Recently, the famous leakster Ice Universe has revealed the Light mode (or Low Power mode) on upcoming Samsung Galaxy S23 devices. This will reduce power consumption without affecting refresh rates, with a slight reduction in performance.

Ice universe shared a screenshot in which the light mode will prioritize battery life and cooling efficiency over processing speed. However, the mode won’t affect gaming performance which will be controlled from the separate Game Booster settings.

The tipster hasn’t confirmed whether the feature will be carried out on other galaxy smartphones or not. As for now, the S23 series is the potential candidate to debut soon with the light mode. 

Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ are reported to have increased battery capacity. The vanilla phone will go up to 3,900mAh, and the plus model to 4,700mAh (+200mAh in both cases). The upcoming S23 phones are expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen.
